Challenge #1: Race to the Room of Requirement
The story so far... A small band of students have become fed up with the House Cup at Hogwarts. After witnessing countless biased decisions made by the staff members of Hogwarts, these students have formed their own House Cup. But they call it the House Wars. Participating are three students from each house, along with it being moderated by Gryffindor's Prefect! They've made it as fair as they could, though some suspected that Darth Sharrakor would be biased towards his own house. Of course, he claimed he wouldn't be biased, but some still possessed their doubts. Likewise, some were suspicious of the Slytherins. It would be typical of one of the Slytherins to attempt at being rewarded house points for catching rebellious students in the act of going against school policy. And as the students gathered together for the first challenge on the second floor at the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom after lights out had already come in effect, they waited for the last Slytherin to arrive. "Holy Dumbledore! What's taking him so long?" Neeco asked impatiently, wondering where his housemate could be. But as it turned out, their suspicions are found to be correct. The third Slytherin had betrayed them! He arrived with Argus Filch, the caretaker, along with various other members of the Hogwarts Staff. "There they are!" the traitor declared, pointing at the students huddled together. "Quick!" Darth Sharrakor yelled. "To the Room of Requirement. We'll be safe there!" And so the students ran out of the room with the Hogwarts Staff in pursuit. Many of them split up, seeking different ways to reach the seventh floor, and knowing that by themself, they'd be harder to track than if they were in a large group. The challenge... You are all on the second floor. You must all reach the seventh floor as quickly as possible. Each turn, you can advance one floor. Along with this, you must advance someone else (from a different house) half of a floor. Turns do not matter, as long as you don't post twice in a row. So for example, a sequence of three turns will look like everything besides the parts announcing who's turn it is. JackCarver's Turn: Advance one floor. Advance Neeco half floor. Neeco's Turn: Advance one floor. Advance JC half floor. JackCarver's Turn: Advance one floor. Advance Lord Berethor half floor. Along with each post should be a list of how much progress each player has made. Each player will be awarded a certain amount of points for how quickly they finish. The more points your house receives, the better. So finish quickly and hurry to the seventh floor! And I apologise to Slytherin with only two members, but I do have a way to help even out the competition there. Don't worry guys, I know a way to keep this challenge fair to everyone. Well, let us not delay any longer! Let the challenge begin! And remember, when you advance someone a half floor, their progress should be listed as 2.5 or however many they are at. And also keep in mind that they must be someone from a different house than you! At Hogwarts, it was a tale of ladies first. Phoebe quickly took as many shortcuts she could and figured she was way ahead of the rest. Despite being in different houses, MissGranger and Vishnu were friends. They were one floor beneath Phoebe and stopped behind a statue to take a brief breather. They could hear the Hogwarts staff on the floor beneath them, yelling. JackCarver and AmericanFool saw MissGranger and Vishnu a short distance above them, but didn't wish to give away their position, so the two pals said nothing. On the third floor, chaos reigned supreme. Neeco, the GM and The Imperial Swordsman managed to avoid most of the havoc. Neeco wanted to join the other two, but doing so would reveal where he was to the staff, so he stayed where he was. Somewhere below them, Lord Berethor and La Barrita Vieja struggled to keep their faces hidden from the staff as they tried to get away. Below the rest, Eragon was hesitant in heading to the upper floors. While he knew that getting to the Room of Requirement was his top priority, he had seen many members of the Hogwarts Staff pass by and had no wish to be on the same floor as them.
