The answer is indeed Augustus Rookwood, one of my favorite Death Eaters. Very undermentioned character. The Order of the Phoenix wins immunity this round, and they now...well, just look at the Beyond the Veil thread. Out of curiosity, who were you initially thinking of TIS?

I was thinking of Walden Macnair. I knew Macnair appeared in in book 3 to execute Buckbeak, so that's why I asked if he appeared in book 3. Once you said no, everything else pointed to Agustus Rockwood.

Wow, I guess it was tougher than I expected. I had no idea how much MacNair and Rookwood were similar to each other. And to think, I like Rookwood (as a character, not what he stands for), yet I hate MacNair. Interesting...

I think it's cuz MacNair was an executioner of "dangerous" animals, whereas Rookwood was just a spy, he didn't physically hurt anyone or anything.
