I also value loyalty and the ability to think clearly in times of pressure. umm...yeah I'm too lazy to put anything else about that. :) Eragon approached the Sorting Hat with mixed feelings in his heart. He was willing to face the experience of being sorted, but he also knew that where he was sorted into, could change his life. He thought of the success most Slytherins had, the good people in Gryffindor, the wise in Ravenclaw, and the all-around people in Hufflepuff. He truthfully didn't know which house he wanted to be put in. His family had skipped from house to house over the years and it showed no sign of ever repeating itself. So Eragon sat on the stool, and the hat was placed upon his head.

After a few minutes of pondering, the Sorting Hat decided to put Eragon in:

As long as it wasn't Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, or Ravenclaw. His whole family would be disgraced if he wasn't put in Slytherin. They had taught him all the arts of manipulation, and he planned on using them effectively his first year at Hogwarts.

He had the wisdom of a Ravenclaw and the power and cunning of a Slytherin. He was a ''mudblood'' though so that took away from his chances of being in Slytherin. But one could hope...

After much inner debate, the Sorting Hat finally decided to put Vishnu in:

I wanted to put Vishnu in Slytherin but I'm trying to keep things as even as possible without totally putting people in houses just to keep it even.
