I'm just basing this on the movies since I've never read the books but I have to go with Frodo and them. It was a work of pure genius how well Peter Jackson was able to do so well with only three characters in thier storyline. I loved how Gollum and Sam kind of competed for Frodo's favor.
Darth sharrakor- 07-15-2006
yeah the competition between Sam and Gollum was really cool, if sad, seeing as how Gollum often was the one who was favored. But I still have to stick with Aragorn and co.
Neeco- 07-15-2006
I choose Treebeard and my two favorite Hobbits. Why? cuz Merry and Pippin own everyone and Treebeard has values I wish I had...like patience...
Darth sharrakor- 07-15-2006
hmmm....Aragorn still beats everyone...
Eragon- 07-15-2006
hehemm...Sam does! I need an avvy...hey sharrakor! could you PM me with any Eragon avvys you could find?
Darth sharrakor- 07-15-2006
How could you deny the coolness of Aragorn,Legolas, and Gimli?
sure Eragon.
Lady Sugah Sim- 07-16-2006
S Where are you findin' these funny sigs and avvys? I just noticed your new avvy now, too.

Okay, so most of you know I watched The Two Towers last night.
Gollum continues, just by his mere presence on screen, not to mention what a dirty rotten scoundrel he is towards Sam (I know the Precious possesses him, but he still gets on my nerves) to disturb me. When Gollum calls Sam a 'Stupid, Fat Hobbit' it really ticks me off (not to mention most everything else he does, lol).
Here are a few of my fave lines from The Two Towers:
<a wall of soldiers line the ramparts - the top of Gimli's helm barely peeks over the top>
Gimli: <to Legolas> You could have picked a better spot.
~*~
Eomer: What business does an elf, man, and a dwarf have in the Ridder-Mark? Speak quickly.
Gimli: Give me your name, horse-master, and I shall give you mine.
Eomer: <dismounts> I would cut off your head, dwarf, if it stood but a little higher from the ground.
Legolas: <draws his bow and aims at arrow at Eomer's throat> You would die before your stroke fell.
*I love the look on Gimli's face when he starts all that stuff! lol
~*~
<following Gollum, walking down the path>
Sam: I wonder if we'll ever be put into songs or tales.
Frodo: <turns around> What?
Sam: I wonder if people will ever say, 'let's hear about Frodo and the Ring.' And they'll say 'yes, that's one of my favorite stories. Frodo was really courageous, wasn't he, Dad?' 'Yes, my boy, the most famousest of hobbits. And that's saying a lot.'
Frodo: <continues walking> You've left out one of the chief characters - Samwise the Brave. I want to hear more about Sam.
<Frodo stops and turns to Sam>
Frodo: Frodo wouldn't have got far without Sam.
Sam: Now Mr. Frodo, you shouldn't make fun; I was being serious.
Frodo: So was I.
<they continue to walk>
Sam: Samwise the Brave...
~*~
Gimli: It's true you don't see many dwarf women. And in fact, they are so alike in voice and appearance, that they are often mistaken for dwarf men.
Aragorn: It's the beards.
Gimli: And this in turn has given rise to the belief that there are no dwarf women, and that dwarves just spring out of holes in the ground!
<Eowyn laughs>
Gimli: Which is, of course, ridiculous.
~*~
Gimli: You'll find more cheer in a graveyard.
~*~
<during the Battle of Helm's Deep, Gimli has killed an Uruk-Hai warrior>
Gimli: Legolas! Two already!
Legolas: I'm on seventeen!
Gimli: Huh? I'll have no pointy-ear outscoring me!
Legolas: Nineteen!

haha. I love those quotes. sorry to correct you but in Eomer's statement, it's a man, an elf, and a dwarf. you messed up on that. I wouldn't normally correct you but I think it's good to do LOTR justice in quoting.
Lady Sugah Sim- 07-17-2006
I found those quotes here:

My source failed me on that one. Sorry! :?

Lady Sugah Sim- 07-17-2006
All I can say is you're still the most gorgeous blue dragon I've ever seen, E.
